Section 70(1) in Gujarat Primary Education Act, 1947
(1)Subject to the provisions of sub-section (2) in this Act except in sections 2 (10), 3 (1), 4, 5, 6, 6-A, 7, 7-A, 8, 9, 9-A, 10, 10-A, 11, 14, 41(1), 42, 43, 44(2) (d) and 57 all references to a District School Board shall be with effect on and from the 1st April, 1963 shall be construed as references to a taluka panchayat or district panchayat constituted under the Gujarat Panchayats Act, 1961, (Gujarat VI of 1962), according as the powers, functions and duties of a District School Board vest in the taluka panchayat or as the case may be, district panchayat, in accordance with an order made under sub-section (2) of section 155 of the Gujarat Panchayats Act, 1961 (Gujarat VI of 1962), (hereinafter referred to as the "said order").
