Section 21(1) in The West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences Act, 1995
(1)Subject to the general supervision and control of the Council, a Faculty shall be in charge of the academic affairs of the University and shall, subject to the provisions of this Act and the Statutes, superintend, direct and control, and be responsible for, the maintenance of standards of instruction, education and examination and other matters connected with the conferment of degrees or award of diplomas, and shall exercise such other powers and perform such other functions as may be conferred or imposed on it by Statutes.
