Section 16 in The Gujarat Forensic Sciences University Act, 2008
16. Academic Council.
(1)The Academic Council of the University shall consist of the following members, namely(i)The Director General, who shall be the Chairman of the Academic Council;(ii)Two academicians or professionals, to be nominated by the Board;(iii)Two academicians or professionals in the field of forensic science, to be nominated by the Board;(iv)The Director of Research and Development;(v)The Directors of the University;(vi)One professor from each discipline of the University, by rotation, to be nominated by the Director General.(2)The Registrar shall be the Secretary of the Council.(3)The term of office of the members nominated under clauses (ii), (iii) and (vi) of subsection (1) shall be three years.
