Section 5A(3) in The Chandernagore Municipal Corporation Act, 1990
(3)Any Councillor [* * *] [Words 'or Alderman' omitted by West Bengal Act 36 of 1994.] nominated by the Mayor as the Deputy Mayor or a member of the Mayor-in-Council under sub-section (2) of section 8, shall assume office forthwith after taking the oath of secrecy [before the Mayor] [Words inserted by West Bengal Act 17 of 1995.] in the following form:-"1, A.B., do swear in the name of God/solemnly affirm that I will not directly or indirectly communicate or reveal to any person or persons any matter which shall be brought under my consideration or shall become known to me as Deputy Mayor/a Member of the Mayor-in-Council except as may be required for the due discharge of my duties as such Deputy Mayor/ Member of the Mayor-in-Council.".
