Section 17(5) in Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority Act, 2008
(5)Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority shall build a detailed data base and carry out necessary traffic and transportation surveys to update its data base and also make it available for various studies and to public. The data base would help in monitoring and understanding the various traffic and transportation needs in the Hyderabad Metropolitan region. It should act as a center for technology transfer and also guide the local authorities for all their technical inputs/plans in the field of traffic and transportation.
