Section 40 in Assam Education Department Rules and Orders
40. A pupil who seeks admission from a madrassa to a high school or a senior madrassa after completing the Middle Madrassa cause and obtaining a Middle School Certificate in Groups I and IV shall be placed in Class VII of a high school or the first year class of a Senior Madrassa.
