Section 4(viii) in University of Udaipur Officers (Conditions of Service) Rules, 1976
(viii)"Duty" includes (a) Service on probation provided that such service is followed by confirmation; (b) Joining time; (c) A course of instructions of training in India or abroad specially approved as duty by the University; (d) Period of compulsory writing sanctioned by the competent authority.
