Section 329 in Tamil Nadu District Municipalities Act, 1920
329. Publication of by-laws, notices, orders, etc..
- Every by-law, order, notice or other document directed to be published under this Act shall, unless a different method be prescribed by this Act, or by the council, be written in, or translated into, the vernacular of the district and deposited at the municipal office, and a copy shall be pasted up in a conspicuous position at such office and such other places as the council may direct. And a public proclamation shall be made throughout the municipality by beat of drum that such copy has been so pasted up and that the original is open to inspection at the municipal office.
