Section 2(m) in The Meghalaya Board of School Education Act, 1973
(m)"School Education" means such education as is designed to meet the needs of the stage immediately starting from the stage of Primary Education and precedes immediately the stage of Degree Education (including Pre-University) controlled by any University established by law in India, or by a Board constituted by Government for this purpose and it include technical education and vocational instruction upto the diploma level and education in Higher Secondary Schools;
