43. Co-ordination of Teaching, Research and Extension, Integration of Functions and Curricula and Services.
(1)The Vice-Chancellor shall take such steps as may be necessary in consultation with the appropriate officers of the University, for the full co-ordination of teaching, research and extension activities of the University.(2)The Vice-Chancellor shall ensure working through the appropriate officers and staff of the University to see that there is an appropriate inter-relation in the different curricula and courses offered in the different Faculties of the University so as to avoid unnecessary duplication of functions between faculties of the University and provide the students with the best course offerings and faculty contacts feasible within the University's resources and talents.(3)The University shall develop its programme of research and extension activities keeping in view the needs of the State and provide the appropriate technical support and consultative advice to the Government departments engaged in the development work in Horticulture and other allied branches.
