Section 74(i) in Tamil Nadu District Municipalities Act, 1920
(i)that the amount of any leave, leave allowances, travelling allowances, pension or gratuity provided for in such regulations shall, in no case without the special sanction of the [State Government] [The words 'Provincial Government' were substituted for the words 'Local Government' by the Adaptation Order of 1937 and the word 'State' was substituted for the words 'Provincial' by the Adaptation Order of 1950.], exceed what would be admissible in the case of Government servants of similar standing and status;
