(7)The National Service (Hardship) Committee shall have power to regulate its own procedure with regard to any investigation under this Act and shall have for the purposes of such investigation the powers of a civil court while trying a suit under the Code of Civil Procedure 1908, (5 of 1908). in respect of the following matters, namely:-(a)summoning and enforcing the attendance of any person and examining him on oath;(b)requiring the discovery and production of documents producible as evidence;(c)receiving evidence on oath;(d)issuing commissions for the examination of witness or documents;(e)such other matters as may be prescribed.
