Section 56(2) in The Maharashtra Village Panchayats Act, 1959
(2)Every work constructed by a panchayat out of the village fund, or with Government assistance or peoples', participation shall vest in such panchayat [and every work constructed by a panchayat with the assistance of Zilla Parishad or panchayat Samiti shall vest in a panchayat in the manner provided by rules made in that behalf.] [These words were added by Maharashtra 36 of 1965, Section 30(2).]
