Section 64(1) in The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda Act, 1949
(1)Notwithstanding anything contained in Section 12 the first Pro-Vice-Chancellor shall be a whole-time salaried officer who shall be appointed by the Government as soon as practicable after the passing of this Act, for a period not exceeding three years and on such terms and conditions as the Government thinks fit.
