Section 18(1) in Tamil Nadu Government Servants (Conditions of Service) Act, 2016
(1)Where the posts are outside the purview of the Commission, recruitment shall be made by calling for names of eligible candidates from the employment exchange besides inviting applications by giving advertisements in two prominent dailies (one in vernacular language):Provided that this sub-section shall not apply in the case of appointments of dependants of Government servants who die in harness or the Government servants who retire from service on medical invalidation before attaining the age of fifty three years.
