Seventeenth Loksabha > Title: Regarding the attacks on JNU students.
ADV. A.M. ARIFF (ALAPPUZHA): Thank you, Sir. As everybody knows, JNU is one of the best universities in our country. Unfortunately, the Government is trying to kill this premier institution systematically. The recent hostel fee hike is the latest example. It is unfortunate that the hon. Union Minister Shri Giriraj Singh has ridiculed the organisations behind the protest. Even girl students are beaten up harshly on the streets.
HON. SPEAKER:Shri H. Vasanthakumar ADV. A.M. ARIFF: Sir, let me complete; I will take only two minutes.

But their march was treated friendly by the police. Curfew has been declared as if the Government is fighting terrorists. …(Interruptions)
