Section 24(1) in Assam Non-Government Educational Institutions (Regulation and Management) Act, 2006
(1)Where any non-government educational institution fails to fulfil or comply with the provisions of the Act or violates any of the provisions of this Act or the rules ade thereunder or any order passed by the State Government or the Director under the provisions of this Act, the State Government may, at any time after giving a reasonable opportunity of being heard, order for withdrawal of administrative recognition and closing down of the nongovernment educational institutions. In the event of such closure, the individual, association of individuals, Non-Government Organisation, society or trust establishing and running the institution shall be solely responsible to the teaching and non-teaching staff, students, guardians and parents and other concerned persons or bodies etc.
