Section 24(2) in The Air (Prevention And Control Of Pollution) Act, 1981
(2)Every person [* * *] [The words " carrying on any industry specified in the Schedule and every person" omitted by Acy 47 of 1987, Section 13 (w.e.f. 1.4.1988).] operating any control equipment or any industrial plant, in an air pollution control area shall be bound to render all assistance to the person empowered by the State Board under sub-section (1) for carrying out the functions under that sub-section and if he fails to do so without any reasonable cause or excuse, he shall be guilty of an offence under this Act.
