Section 320 in The Mumbai Municipal Corporation Act, 1888
320. Commissioner to provide for traffic, etc., pending execution of municipal work in any street.
- Whilst the execution of any work on behalf of the corporation is in progress in any street, the Commissioner shall, so far as may be reasonably practicable, make adequate provisions for the passage or diversion of traffic, for securing access to all premises approached from such street, and for any drainage, water supply or means of lighting which may be interrupted by reason/of the execution of the said work and shall pay compensation to any person who sustains special damage by reason of the execution thereof.
