Section 61(1) in A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technological University Act, 2015
(1)The University shall prepare a perspective plan for educational development for the location of institutions of higher learning in a manner ensuring equitable distribution of facilities for higher education in Engineering having due regard, in particular, to the needs of unserved and under developed areas within the jurisdiction of the University. Such plan shall be prepared by the Academic Committee and got approved by the Executive Committee and shall be placed before the Board of Governors. It shall be updated every five years.
