6. Ship's equipment.
- Every Indian ship to which these rules apply shall be so fitted with such equipments as to prevent effectively any oil fuel from leaking or draining from machinery spaces into ship's bilges:Provided that this rule shall not apply to any ship in which the contents of its bilges are subjected to an effective means of separating the oil there from before they are pumped into the sea.
