(2)Each Faculty shall comprise such Departments of teaching as may be prescribed by the Ordinances. The Head of every such Department shall be Professor of the Department or, if there is no Professor, the Associate Professor. If there is more than one Professor, or more than one Associate Professor of a Department, the Vice-Chancellor shall appoint as the Head of the Department such one of the Professors or, if there is no Professor, such one of the Associate Professors as he thinks fit. The Head of the Department shall be responsible to the Dean for the organisation of the teaching in the Department and smooth running of the Department.
