Section 55(2) in Kashmir and Jammu Universities Act, 1969
(2)the Syndicate of the two Divisions of the University of Jammu and Kashmir constituted under the provisions of the Jammu and Kashmir University Act, 1965, shall, until such time as the authorities of a University be constituted under the provisions of this Act, perform such duties and exercise such powers in respect of the University concerned as have been conferred upon the Syndicates, the Academic Councils, the Faculties, the Boards of Studies, the Boards of Research Studies in accordance with the provisions of this Act, the Statutes and Regulations made thereunder ; and
