- Subject to such restrictions and conditions as may be prescribed, an asami shall, on being admitted to the occupation of any land, be liable to pay such rent as may be agreed upon between him and his landholder or the [Gram Panchayat] [Substituted 'Gram Sabha' by U.P. Act No. 4 of 2016, dated 11.3.2016.], as the case may be.
