- It shall be lawful for the State Government from time to time, by notification to that effect published in the Official Gazette to declare that the provisions of this chapter shall apply to any line of navigation specified in such notification and from and after such publication the the provisions of this chapter shall apply to, and be in force as regards, such navigation channel.
