Section 1 in Bihar Entertainments Tax Act, 1948

1. Short title, extent and commencement.

(1)This Act may be called the Bihar Entertainments Tax Act, 1948.
(2)It extends to the whole of the [State] [Substituted by para 4 (1) of the A.L.O. for 'Province'.] of Bihar.
(3)It shall come into force on such [date] [The Act came into force on the 1st October, 1948, vide Notification on 2587-F.R. dated the 1st October, 1948.] as the [State] [Substituted by para 4(1) of the A.L.O. for 'Provincial'.] Government may, by notification, direct.
