(g)"Co-operative Marketing Society" means a co-operative society of producers [registered or deemed to be registered under the Uttar Pradesh Co-operative Societies Act, 1965] [Substituted by section 2 (a) of U.P. Act No. 6 of 1977.], which has, as its principal object, the promotion of sale or purchase of agricultural produce;
