862. Effect of departmental punishment on prosecutions. [§ 7, Act V, 1861, read with § 243 of the Government of India Act, 1935].
- The fact that any departmental punishment has been awarded to a police officer shall not affect his liability to prosecution and punishment under any law for the time being in force.
