14. Power to Governors to establish a provident fund or funds.
- The Governors may, with the approval of the [State Government] [Words 'Provincial Government' substituted for the words 'Local Government' by the Government of India (Adaptation of Indian Laws) Order, 1937, and thereafter the word 'State' substituted for the word 'Provincial' by Adaptation of Laws Order, 1950.], establish a provident fund or provident funds for the benefit of their teachers, other officers or servants (appointed in accordance with the provisions of this Act) and may compel all or any of such teachers, officers and servants to contribute to, and may make supplementary contributions to, such provident fund or funds and make payments thereout in accordance with the rules of such fund or funds.Rules.
