217. Entrustment of operation and maintenance of sewerage works and billing and collection of sewerage charges.
- The Chief Municipal Officer may, with the prior approval of the Empowered Standing Committee, entrust the work of operation and maintenance of sewerage works in the municipal area and the work of billing and collection of sewerage charge or sewerage cess to any agency under any law for the time being in force or any private agency.
