Section 6(1) in The Bihar and Orissa General Clauses Act, 1917
(1)Where any Bihar and Orissa Act is not expressed to come into operation on a particular day, then it shall come into operation on the day on which the assent thereto of the Governor-General is first published in the [Official Gazette] [Substituted by A.O. 1950 for 'Gazette'.] in pursuance of Section 81 of the Government of India Act, 1915.
