26. Quorum of Annual or Half-yearly and/or Special General Meeting.
(1) Unless a larger proportion is provided in the bye-law, the quorum of an Annual or Half-yearly or Special General Meeting shall be one-fifth of total number of members or delegates or representatives subsisting on the date of notice of the meeting. No business shall b,e transacted at any meeting unless there is a quorum and the meeting shall be adjourned.(2)If within half-an-hour from the time appointed for the meeting a quorum is not present, the meeting shall be adjourned ordinarily to the same day in the next week at the same place and time. The meeting shall not be adjourned for the second time.(3)The business to be transacted in the adjourned meeting shall be the same as in the agenda of the original meeting and no fresh notice is necessary for such adjourned meeting :Provided that no quorum shall be necessary at an Annual or Half-yearly or Special General Meeting which had been adjourned under sub-rule (2) :Provided further that a Special General meeting which had been called on requisition under clause (b) of sub-section (1) of section 31 shall not be adjourned but be dissolved.
