8. Notification of Special Economic Zone. - After the submission of details as required under rule 7 and other details, if any, required by the Central Government and on acceptance of the conditions specified in the Letter of Approval, the Central Government shall notify the identified area as a Special Economic Zone under sub-section (1) of section 4, if the area proposed for notification is not less than the minimum area prescribed under rule 5.
[Provided that the Central Government may, on the recommendation of the Board on the application made by the Developer, if it is satisfied, modify, withdraw or rescind the notification of a Special Economic Zone issued under this rule:Provided further that the Developer shall submit his application for withdrawal of notification in Form C6 to the concerned Development Commissioner as specified in Annexure III, who, within a period of fifteen days, shall forward it to the Board with his recommendations.]
