Section 42A(1) in The Calcutta Suburban Police Act, 1866
(1)No person shall bring, keep or possess in the suburbs of the town of Calcutta any animal or class or classes of animals which the State Government may, for the purposes of this section by notification in the Official Gazette, specify as likely to cause danger to human life or property except under, and in accordance with the terms and conditions of a licence obtained from such authority, in such manner and on payment of such fee, not exceeding ten rupees, as the state Government may specify by rules made in this behalf.
