23. Manner of exercising vote.
(1)Every member of a society shall exercise his vote in person at a meeting of the society and no member shall be permitted to vote by proxy.(2)Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-section (1), a society or corporation or firm which is a member of another society may, subject to any rules made under this Act, appoint one of its members or partners, as the case may be, to vote on its behalf in the affairs of that society.
