State of Uttar Pradesh - Subsection

Section 19(1) in The U.P. Narcotic Drugs Rules, 1986

(1)The officer who has granted a licence or permit or has by order approved or authorised the doing of an act under these rules may after giving such person an opportunity to show cause why such an order should not be passed, by an order in writing stating the reasons therefor, cancel such licence, permit or order or suspend it for such period as he thinks fit either wholly or in part, if in his opinion, such person has-
(a)failed to pay duty or fee payable by him under any law for the time being in force, or
(b)by himself or by any servant or person acting on his behalf committed any breach of conditions of such licence, permit or order, or
(c)been convicted of any offence under the Act or under any law for the time being in force relating to excise, revenue or prohibition or of any criminal offence.
