12. Academic Council.
(1)There shall be an Academic Council of the University which shall be in charge of the academic affairs of the University and shall, subject to the provisions of this Act and the Statutes, supervise control and regulate the standards of instructions and examinations in the University and all matters connected with education training and research.(2)The Vice-Chancellor shall, as soon as may be after the appointed day, order the constitution of the Academic Council in accordance with the provisions of the Statutes.(3)The Academic Council shall consist of such members, exercise such powers and perform such functions as may be prescribed.
