Section 65(3) in The Maharashtra Agricultural Universities (Krishi Vidyapeeths) Act, 1983
(3)Without prejudice to the powers of the Vice-Chancellor, the Principals of colleges and institutions and Heads of caching Departments in the University shall have the authority to exercise such powers ever the students in their respective charges, as may be necessary for the maintenance of proper discipline.
