Section 3(1) in Tamil Nadu Irrigation (Levy of Betterment Contribution) Act, 1955
(1)Any new ayacut in every notified work may be classified into one or more of the following zones, namely:-(i)wet zone;(ii)intermediary zone; or(iii)irrigated dry zone.
