36. Sound signals.

- The use of sound signals for attracting attention is prohibited on board the vessels while within the limits of the port, except for the purposes specified in regulations 15, 28 and 31 of the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea, 1960 and in case of emergency when assistance from the shore is urgently required in the interests of the safety of the vessel or when the pilot in charge thinks fit to do so.
