Section 34(1) in The Maharashtra Beedi and Cigar Workers (Conditions of Employment) Rules, 1968
(1)Any dispute between an employer and an employee or employees in relation to -(a)the issue by the employer of raw materials to the employee;(b)the rejection by the employer of beedi or cigar or both made by an employee; or(c)the payment of wages for the beedi or cigar or both rejected by the employer, may be referred in writing by the employer or the employee or employees to the Labour Officer notified under the Bombay Industrial Relations Act, 1946 of the local area in which the industrial premises is situated, who shall, after making such enquiry as he may consider necessary and after giving the parties an opportunity.to represent their respective case decide the dispute and record the proceedings in Form X.
