Section 7(1) in The Naval Ceremonial, Conditions Of Service And Miscellaneous Regulations, 1964
(1)On occasions when an Indian Naval Ship or vessel is under way with the President embarked, such ship or vessel and all escorting Ships and vessels, shall wear the National Flag at the jackstaff : and shall wear the white ensign and National flag continuously day and night.
