Section 2(xi) in The Chhattisgarh Kushabhau Thakre Patrakarita Avam Jansanchar University Act, 2004
(xi)"Head of the Department of University" means the head of a teaching department of the University for imparting education to the students of the University and includes the Director or Principal of any college or Institute maintained by the University for the promotion of research or for imparting instructions to the students;
