49. Officer or authority subordinate to the Government to perform the functions of the Competent Authority.
- The Government may, by notification, direct that any of the functions of the competent authority under this Act or the rules made thereunder, shall in relation to such matters and subject to such conditions, be performed also by such officer or authority sub-ordinate to the Government, as may be specified in the notification.
