Section 8(1) in The Karnataka Home Guards Act, 1962.
(1)Every person, who, for any reason ceases to be a member of the Home Guards or resigns his membership, shall forth-with deliver up to the Commandant or to such person and at such place as the Commandant may direct, his certificate of appointment or of office and the arms, accoutrements, clothings and other articles which have been issued to him as such member.
