(2)Nothing in sub-section( 1) shall be deemed to render liable the [Consolidated Fund of the State] or any Sheriff, or Deputy Sheriff or any of their subordinates appointed after the commencement of this Act for anything done by, or under the authority of, any Sheriff or Deputy Sheriff before the commencement of this Act.
