(1). The petitioner though was selected but has been denied appointment to the post of Computer Teacher, prompting him to approach this Court.

(2). The respondents have filed their reply/affidavit along with an order dated 15.09.2009 (Annexure R-I/T) passed by the District Education Officer (Secondary Education), Tarn Taran to the effect that the petitioner and three more candidates have been found ineligible on verification of their qualifications.

(3). Following was the qualification advertised for the post of Computer Teacher :-

"BE/B.Tech (IT/Comp. Science) or DOEC's B-Level or BIT or BSc. IT/CS/Internet Science) or BCA or 3 yrs Diploma (Computer Science and Engineering/ Information Technology) or MCA or MSc. (IT/Computer Science/Software System) or MIS or MIT or M.Tech (Computer Science) or Equivalent/Higher Education level, including 50% minimum......... "

(4). The petitioner has obtained Bachelor of Science along with Computer Science as one of the subjects (English, Punjabi, Mathematics and Physics being the other subjects). Apparently, the petitioner cannot be said to be fulfilling the eligibility conditions or the professional/technical qualification required vide the advertisement reproduced above.

(5). No direction for his appointment, thus, can be issued.

(6).               Dismissed.
