Section 306(1) in Gauhati Municipal Corporation Act, 1971
(1)For the prevention and extinction of fire the Corporation may maintain fire brigade and provide any implement, machinery or means of communicating intelligence, which the Corporation may think necessary for the efficient discharge of their duties by the brigade.
