(a)This Act may be called the Mappila Marumakkattayam Act, [1939] [Substituted for the figures '1938' by section 3(1) of and the Second Schedule to the Tamil Nadu Repealing and Amending Act, 1951 (Tamil Nadu Act XIV of 1951).].
