- Promptness in the disbursement of rewards is of the great importance. Superintendent should therefore arrange for reward in excise cases to be paid as soon as they have been sanctioned. All bills for rewards will be drawn in regular contingent bill forms and disbursed through the sadar Excise Office, save that amounts required for payment in a sub-division should be remitted to the Deputy Superintendent of Excise, for payment.When payments are made to informers whose names it is not desirable to divulge, the Superintendent of Excise, Sub-divisional Officer or Superintendent of Police (see rule below) shall, in lieu of the payee's acknowledgement or receipt furnish a certificate in duplicate, one copy being pasted in the acquaittance roll in lieu of the payee's receipt while the other will be submitted to the Comptroller.
